Very Good

I first saw this in a library and checked it out. I ended up buying my own copy. The photos are a wide variety and large. Some of them are slightly grainy, but not cheesy. Many of them are merely described as "clouds" instead of their classification, but the variety is what is significant for this volume. Not a must-have for meteorologists, but good book for weather hobbyists and certainly good for the coffee table.

I purchased this book to reference for my painting. I found the variety and quantity of photos great, however the quality of the photos is questionable. Most of them are grainy (an artistic treatment?) and some appear to be low res images scaled up to fit the format of the book. The paper and print quality could be better, but if you read it to learn about clouds it would suffice.

First I just want to say I freaking love this cover! I give the book 4 and a half stars. I really like the fairy tale books and this one was done really well. Goldie Locke has a major crush on her boss Travis Baer but is too shy to act on it. Goldies apt caught on fire and his brothers end up setting them up a cabin together. This story is so sweet it will make your teeth hurt. Both the H/h are adorable and have great chemistry. I have read a few of this authors stories and this one I'd definitely my favortie. I recieved and ARC for an honest review.

Great book, draws you in!

I enjoyed reading this book. I found myself imagining myself as Goldie. Her character was one that I think the average woman could relate to. It was a sweet romance with some naughty mixed in. Realistic and fun. I definitely recommend this book and hope the author puts out more books along these lines. My only compliant would be that I didn't want to finish the book, I would of preferred the book to have went on and on with more naughtyness. :). All and all it was a great book!

Quick but fun read

Cute take off on the Goldilocks fable. Sexy and sweet with very caring "Bears". The three brothers are fun , handsome and hard working. Goldie has been crazy about the oldest brother for almost the whole two years she has run his office. Feeling self conscious, She knew that he would never be interested in a full figured girl like her so she kept to herself. This is fun with some very naughty scenes that ends up with everything " just right".

Incredible _--- A must book to have

In receveing this book , It comes with a flim strip , Held it up to the light , It was from Dr. NO I must say how please I am , 15 pounds . filled every Bond movie ever made , from Dr, No to Skyfall. This book is a true must to have it may be over $100.00 , But it is well worth it . I never had or saw a book so well done .

You Must See This Book To Truly Appreciate It

You must truly see this book to appreciate it. It is massive. It is an exceptionally quality publication and profusely illustrated with an over abundance of commentary of many of the Bond crew throughout the series. It is incredible. Some of the photos, the comments and the graphics are so endearing, especially for the earlier Bond films. This is the one book that BOND fans who have been with the series for many years (at least like I have, and there are many of you) MUST have.

I really like the coverage of ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. I was once told by author John Griswold (Ian Fleming's James Bond: Annotations and Chronologies for Ian Fleming's Bond Stories) that Cubby Broccoli had been so disillusioned with many of the Bond fans who had been petitioning to get George Lazenby back, that he instructed Pinewood to empty the vaults of all non-essential documents and media pertaining to ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. It remains one of the most talked about Bonds of the series.

You get the sense that the author definitely sees Sean Connery and Roger Moore as the two actors who defined the James Bond series and this is somewhat a homage to their efforts. Don't let this book get by you. It truly is a required Bond book.

OMG! 600 pages and 15 pounds of Bond just arrived! I'm in love!

This book is amazing! It arrived in a rather plain cardboard "suitcase-style" slipcase with a plastic handle, but WOW the book itself is beautiful! I actually weighed it as soon as it came out of the shipping box because it was so heavy. It is huge - 12" x 16.5" x 2"!

There is no paper jacket, but because of the size and heft of this tome, it would probably be difficult to keep one on undamaged. The book's cover lookes like red pebble-grained snakeskin or lizard and the inside front and back cover pages are copies of a shooting schedule from "From Russia With Love". The pages are high-quality glossy paper and there seems to be something on just about every page, that's why I count 600 as opposed to the 592 stated. One page has a little plastic pocket containing a filmstrip of 12 original frames from a Dr. No. original 35mm print.

I am glad to see that all of the movies from Dr. No to Skyfall are included as well as Never Say Never Again. Other reviewers have complained that much of the book is taken from DVD special features. Well, I like having a choice to either watch the features or read them. Many photos are included that have not been released elsewhere.

I haven't looked much beyond the first few pages because this is the kind of book I love to consume a small serving at a time - to savor like a fine Port. For anyone who is a Bondophille, your Bond collection is not complete without The James Bond Archives.

About the Author
Since publishing volume 1 in 2011 I have spoken to so many people who have obtained copies of my books and placed them in their dojo for their students to learn from made me relies how fast I will have to complete the remaining volumes. After completing the first three volumes of this great set of counters and combinations books and seeing how easy my students had gained knowledge in combining methods to help them with grading's and contest, made me very pleased. All the positive feedback I received made it easier to fast track volume 4 and to make sure that all who want to learn are not restricted by time limits. After placing 3rd at the 2014 world masters in Spain seem obvious that even as a teacher I was still a student in learning and perfecting methods to assist me on my way to placing in a much heavier division, thanks to my coach 3 x time world masters champion Kristof Frankowski and his decision to place me in the over 100kgs. As a teacher I understand what it is that Judo has to offer. Like other Judo exponents I have, over the years, had the chance to test my training and skills in many contests such as Judo, Ju-jitsu, caged combat and Pangration, as well as during employment as a personal bodyguard. These extensive experiences have enabled me to produce the compilation of Judo techniques you will find in this volume. What is important in this learning process is for you to be able to visualize Judo techniques and then apply them in a practical manner. Counters and Combinations are hard to come by. I hope you enjoy the techniques in this book and that they entice you to be creative in your own development. Must read f you enjoy steamy romance

You are cordially invited to an erotic adventure.
I'll be honest with you, I wanted to read this book from the title alone, it sounded so, so naughty and it does not let you down. Olivia is in a loveless marriage to a much older man, but she is infatuated with Tristan, an Earl, a bachelor, a rake. On a whim she invites him to a dinner party, and I'll just say that she ended up being on the dessert menu. Neither one is able to put the forbidden encounter behind them.
I took an instant liking to Olivia. She is young and full of unexplored passions. She wants to find love. She wants to experience everything she has heard whispered about by other ladies. She wants Tristan, and who wouldn't? He is, of course, tall, dark, built, and handsome. Is he able to satisfy his hunger for Olivia after an erotic weekend? I suppose you will just have to read Lady Seductress's Ball to find out!

LADY SEDUCTRESS'S BALL by Eliza Knight is an erotic historical romance. It is the story of lost love and sex. I have mixed feelings about this title. I find the adultery,and the events at the Lady Seductress's Ball a bit overwelhming. As Lady Olivia is waiting for her husband to pass she goes rumping with an old flame,Tristan. It is well written,as I said earlier I have mixed feelings with the adultery. Otherwise,a quick,sensual read. It is also the story of lost love,found again. Nasty Review

This book is a major contribution to Bigfoot/Sasquatch research. I find it
incredibly engrossing, interesting, and full of fascinating information concerning the
Clackamas River drainage. It is full of “first seen in literature events.” It is the
first attempt that I’m aware of where there was an extensive study of a geographical
region. Broken into six major areas that are intensively investigated from a wealth of
field notes that Beelart has kept over the years. Other firsts I note are: a Sasquatch
playground, a walking stick, licking stones, Devil’s trails, and Bigfoot watch towers,
along with Bigfoot in the trees, salmon clubbing, vocal wood-on-wood and chest beating
comments.
One of my prior complaints about Bigfoot research was the lack of reference to
behavior. Yet, in this volume I find reference to most of the Bigfoot behaviorisms I’m
aware of including a long appendix reference to behaviorisms. Kudos.
Readers will find the text easy reading, well edited, and with references to all the
Bigfoot activity including “maybes” in that particular area. Also, with a lot of humor
Beelart has numerous asides that describe wildlife, lore or local history, like:
approaches by cougars or viewing the Perseid meteor shower. How did Tarzan Springs get
its name? Read OBH and see! And even some supernatural events are touched on.
There are numerous photos and maps; many by Sharon Beelart. Beelart has an
extensive reference system explaining where and in detail about each site mentioned with
GPS references. Perhaps my only complaint…too many site references disturb the smooth
reading of the text. There is a long appendix and index of topics by reference number.
I fondly recall my own trips into the watershed, especially with Joe and we enjoyed
numerous views past Indian Henry Fst. Camp where a large chunk of petrified wood fell on
the roadway. OBH is the culmination of 21 years research of the Bigfoot phenomena.
Readers do themselves an injustice if they don’t acquire a copy of OBH soon.

The Highway to Bigfoot Heaven!

If you want to take an armchair trip through some of the most beautiful and wild areas in the Pacific Northwest, read Joe Beelart and Cliff Olson’s book. If you want to encounter cougars and other four-footed creatures along the way, read this book. If you want to meet interesting and eccentric people along the way, read this book. If, also, your interests run to the even rarer and more exotic two-footed creatures that inhabit this “highway”, then you’re all set to ride when you read this book. These Forest Giants are, after all, the main reason you will read it.
Good books about Sasquatch usually include stories of contact and interaction. This alone, however, doesn’t make for a “best” book. What these authors have brought to the shelf of “best” books is their detailed knowledge of this river and its mountains and back country. They know geology. They know forestry. They know the seasonal cycles of forest, land, climate, animals, and fish. They know the history of the river as it pertains to electrical power generation, fishing, logging, and a bit of tourism. They know a little bit about the USFS, and vice versa. They know each specific location almost like they know their own back yards. They share all this with the reader with a cautious and possibly misplaced trust that the knowledge they share will not be abused.
For this book, the authors developed a detailed and unusual reference system. Initially daunting for the general reader, all this referencing serves the purpose of, well, reference. It’s a great tool for return and reread. It’s a great aid for visiting the locations in person, or with GPS type software on one’s electronic device. The reader gets used to it. Bigfoot research benefits from systematicians like these who also love the campfire and the trail. If, on the other hand, you’re not drawn to systematics and exactitude, then be sure to read Area 52 in the book.
Author Beelart’s “voice” is one to listen to. He has developed a language, a style, and a turn of phrase that is unique – humorous at times, didactic when necessary, and full of love for mountain zephyrs and the stars of the zodiac circling the after-midnight Cascades. No other wordsmith could come up with observations like these: “By selling their cloaking techniques to the military, our Bigfoot Friends could become billionaires and buy their own gated forests.” Or, this: "My friend was driving up the Clackamas with his girlfriend to stoke the embers of affection.”
This book is on my “best” Bigfoot books bookshelf. If it isn’t on yours, the only reason I can think of is that it is laying open beside you in your car as you explore the Oregon Bigfoot Highway in person.

Take a lovely adventurous drive, and/or campout... even if the weather is bad!

Granted I approached this reading with a modicum of personal bias.  Due to my friendship with it’s authors, and by being mentioned in the book.  I have received no compensation for this review (nor the countless hours I’ve listened to my friend’s ministrations over its publication.) Regardless, I have read a couple dozen books on this phenomena, and can rate it without compromising my integrity, one of the best.  Not scientifically dry;  nor filled with wild speculation and folksy colloquialisms. I warn you now, it’s hard to take a break from… you won’t need a bookmark.
In the style of the other best reads on the subject, Joe and Cliff lay the factual reporting of their years of investigation before you.  So you can catch-up on, and decide for yourself what has been going on in the arboreal wilderness behind your back.  While keeping personal encounters to a minimum Joe and Cliff ran down hundreds of leads from mostly unwilling witnesses who were reluctant or frightened to formally report their experiences in public.  Culling out only the best for this book of never before published testimonies.
While a must for the ever growing Bigfoot tracking community.  Everyone will get the thrill of adventure by reading along with these guys pursuit of their passion.  The authors took great care in providing more a travelogue of this scenic two hour drive than a story of malicious marauding monsters.  Never the less, the revelations within… might affect your sleep.

Brilliant and heartening

Assisted by a talented science writer, child psychiatrist Bruce Perry presents a series of heartbreaking stories of children severely damaged by trauma. But that's only one side of this remarkable book. The other side is how many of these profoundly damaged children were assisted to heal.

Perry explains his "neurosequential" approach that sequentially targets brain regions left undeveloped by abuse or neglect. He presents compelling cases to illustrate how the child's age at the time of the abuse or neglect will determine the gaps in neurological development and how his interventions sequentially target those developmental gaps. For children whose brains were stalled out in infancy, for example, therapy may start with healing touch or rhythm before moving on to higher brain activities.

The focus, always, is on the child's humanity. Perry explains the importance of listening and letting the child set the pace. He warns of the damage caused by well-intentioned but poorly trained therapists who push children to open up, or who administer punitive interventions in the guise of treatment. Healing is not about a specific technique administered in cookbook fashion but, rather, about love, and restoring shattered human connections.

This is an enlightening and heartening book and a real page-turner to boot. The neurological underpinnings of the trauma theory are presented in clear English accessible to anyone who can read. If you're a mental health professional, psychologist, or psychiatrist, you'll love this book. If you're a parent or a teacher, it's also for you. Whoever you are, it's for you. Practical, Well-Researched, Easy-to-Read, Hopeful and Inspiring

This book is one of the best books I've ever read. It is evidence-based and well-researched, explaining the workings of scientific discoveries about nature/nurture and the brain in a way that people of all science levels will be able to understand. It also does an excellent job of interspersing true, disturbing stories of child neglect and abuse with hope and practical tips for helping those we encounter in our lives who may have experienced these horrible things. It does not bring in horrible stories to "shock" and does not dwell on them in a way that is unhelpful and just re traumatizing. This has been so helpful for me as a Master of Social Work student, but I also see how it could be beneficial for anyone working with kids, from teachers to foster parents, to just a family friend or a soon-to-be parent. Really, the lessons are easily transferable to all work with children. The book is also broken into manageable chapters.

Fascinating, moving, informing

This book introduced me to the world of childhood trauma, a subject of which I knew very little. It is heart wrenching to witness the mistreatment these children experienced, but it is encouraging to know that some of them were helped. Learning about the development of the brain and neural substrates affected by trauma was fascinating for me, as was the use of that information to develop a treatment for childhood trauma. I had a hard time putting the book down. I highly recommend it; it is very readable and will enlighten readers about the needs of traumatized children as well as what untraumatized children need to develop into healthy adults.

disappointed, of no use for inattentive (non-hyper) ADD, very basic

I am really disappointed. This book was supposed to be the "go to" resource for all things ADHD. Unfortunately, it is really focused on hyperactivity and bad behavior. I endured a large part of the book before he notes that inattentive ADHD is not covered by the book, but for a brief blurb where he posits inattentive ADD(nonhyper) is really "sluggish cognitive tempo"-his theory really doesn't fit my child at all.
One pro is that he does provide a very thorough rebuttal to common misconceptions like "ADHD didn't exist before now, doesn't exist in other countries, is caused by diet or tv" etc.
But, it is also not an engaging read, and as another reviewer stated a lot of it is really basic parenting-"make sure to notice your kid being good," "take time for yourself," etc.
I had checked out the Book "Driven to Distraction" before buying this. It was infinitely better, in my opinion. It covered both hyper and nonhyperactive ADHD and was incredibly informative and engaging. Also it is written by adult psychologists who have ADD. I liked their perspective that people with ADD/ADHD have a lot of strengths-they are typicallu charming and more creative- and a lot to offer if they get the right help and coping mechanisms. I feel like there is a tone in the Barkley book that kids with ADHD are kind of broken.

Still a superior resource for parents and teachers

As a parent I have returned to this resource again and again (previous edition). This updated version is worth the investment. As a teacher I have recommended this book to parents and other teachers who have found it very helpful. Appropriate for anyone interested in what ADHD is and what can be done to support a family coping with it. Although there is a section on medication with up-to-date research, the bulk of this book is about behavioral, organizational, educational and family dynamic support. This includes sections for young children through the teen years. Highly recomended!

Barkley is great and information quite valuable

Barkley is great and information quite valuable. His recommendations and advice are valuable. Far too many have preconceived notions relative to ADHD, which severely limits the help those affected need. What was missed were all of those sensory issues ADHD/ADD people have due to the condition. I also noticed that there was no mention of an iron deficiency, which all those in my family with ADHD/ADD have showing up on blood tests without medication.
My husband and daughter both chose not to medicate until our granddaughter was diagnosed. When my daughter wanted to medicate her child I told her until her father and she sought the same treatment, I was opposed to medicating a child. Needless to say, the homeopathics helped for a time, the diet restrictions and sensory processing disorder treatment helped for a time but as they witnessed the rejection of peers, strained learning, and negative consequences in my granddaughter they experienced in their own lives, their views changed.
Today, my husband, daughter and granddaughter are in CBT, see a psychiatrist, and take medication. Their lives moved from a roller coaster ride to a life more related to a camera where they take the shot, reframe it, and move forward but that would not have happened without the medication component. .
